Lafayette Braces
Braces in Lafayette remain one of the most dependable ways to correct spacing, crowding, bite issues and other complex orthodontic concerns. Because they provide steady, controlled movement, braces often streamline treatment and can shorten the time needed to achieve a healthy, well-aligned smile.
For many patients, braces are also a cost-effective option. They don’t rely on additional equipment or upgrades, making them a strong, predictable choice for families seeking reliable orthodontic care in Lafayette.
Modern metal braces continue to be one of the most efficient tools we use. Each bracket—crafted from high-quality metal or ceramic—is bonded to the tooth and connected with a wire that applies gentle pressure over time. As Dr. Balhoff monitors your progress and adjusts the wire as needed, your teeth gradually move into their ideal positions.
Braces work because of this consistent, guided force, and with regular visits to Balhoff Orthodontics, patients of all ages can achieve outstanding results.
Lafayette Clear Aligners
Clear aligners are a popular choice for patients across Lafayette and Acadiana who want a low-profile alternative to braces. Instead of brackets and wires, clear aligners use a series of removable trays that gradually guide your teeth into better alignment.
Made from smooth, comfortable plastic, each set of aligners is custom-designed to fit precisely over your teeth. To keep your smile progressing on schedule, you’ll change to the next set of aligners every one to two weeks as directed by Dr. Balhoff.
Clear aligner treatment is most effective when worn consistently—about 20–22 hours per day. Removing them too often or not switching aligners on time can slow progress, so following your plan closely is key to achieving the best results.
Clear aligners work well for many common orthodontic issues, including mild to moderate crowding, spacing, and bite discrepancies. For more complex cases, Dr. Balhoff will discuss whether clear aligners or another treatment option is the better fit. A free consultation at our Lafayette office will help determine your eligibility and outline the most effective path toward your ideal smile.
